By using Bergen Tutors ("the platform"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Bergen Tutors is a directory and matching platform that connects families in Bergen County, NJ with certified New Jersey educators for private tutoring. We are not a tutoring agency. We do not employ tutors, set session rates, or mediate sessions.
To list a profile on Bergen Tutors, you must:
Tutors set their own rates and arrange sessions directly with families. Bergen Tutors takes no commission on sessions. All payments occur off-platform between the tutor and the family.
Bergen Tutors reserves the right to remove any profile that contains false or misleading information, or that violates these terms.
Browsing and searching Bergen Tutors is free. Families contact tutors directly through the platform. Bergen Tutors does not guarantee availability, session quality, or outcomes. We encourage families to verify credentials independently before beginning sessions.
Tutors who join during the founding period lock in a permanent reduced annual rate, provided their subscription remains continuously active. If a founding tutor cancels and later rejoins, they return at the then-current standard rate.
Tutor memberships are billed monthly or annually. Memberships may be cancelled at any time; cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial periods.
No payment information is collected during the free launch period (summer–fall 2026). Billing begins when paid memberships are activated.
Bergen Tutors is provided "as is." We are not liable for any damages arising from the use of the platform, sessions arranged through it, or interactions between tutors and families.
We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
